Utah CCW Non-resident Permit

This course satisfies the training requirements to receive a Utah CCW Non-resident Permit. You do not need to have a California permit to apply. Get more bang for your buck by adding the Utah CCW to your list of licenses.

The Utah concealed firearm permit is valid for a period of 5 years. This permit renews online.
CCW Permit Initial
1 Day | 4 Hours – $235
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. Applicant must be at least 21 years of age
2. Is not a prohibited firearms user (expanded below)
3. Attend a training course with a Utah Instructor
4. Submit fingerprints on ink (included)
5. Submit a passport style photo (services available on site)
6. Submit a check or money order for $87 (Included in course fees)
7. Submit an application and mail it to a UTAH CCW processing unit (included)
COURSE DESCRIPTIONS:
INITIAL CCW - 1 Day - 4.5 Hrs
This class is 4.5 hours.
Day one: Classroom
Class will consist of 4 hours in a traditional classroom setting.
EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
Pen and note taking material
VALID CA Driver’s License or Identification Card.
NO FIREARMS / AMMUNITION are required for this course.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. Applicant must be at least 21 years of age
2. Proof of good character…whereas the applicant;
a. Has not been convicted of a felony;
b. Has not been convicted of any crime of violence;
c. Has not been convicted of any offense involving the use of alcohol;
d. Has not been convicted of any offenses involving the unlawful use of narcotics or other controlled substances;
e. Has not been convicted of any offenses involving moral turpitude;
f. Has not been convicted of any offense involving domestic violence;
g. Has not been adjudicated by a court of a state or of the United States as mentally incompetent, unless the adjudication has been withdrawn or reversed

STATES WITH NO RECIPROCITY AGREEEMENTS FOR CALIFORNIA CCW Holders
The following states do not have reciprocity agreements with California residents in possession of a non-resident CCW permit. In these states you must apply with the state individually. If you plan to visit or frequent these states, you must apply to each state individually:
Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Hawaii, illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, State of New York or New York City (NYC has its own permit), Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island
